Catch the Cervantes Train and enjoy a 10% discount at Rafaelhoteles Forum Alcalá

The train leaves Madrid’s Atocha station on Saturdays at 10am

The good weather is beginning and with it come thoughts of discovering new destinations or rediscovering places that we haven't visited in a while. If you're considering a trip to Alcalá de Henares, there's no better way of getting there than in the Cervantes Train. You won't regret visiting this city, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998.

From 7th April to 28th July and from 1st September to 8th December, we'll have the opportunity to travel to the birthplace of the most famous author in the Spanish language and really get to know his work.  It's the Cervantes Train that will take us there, leaving every Saturday in spring, summer and autumn at 10am from Madrid's Puerta de Atocha station.

For another year, the Cervantes Train pays homage to the memory of one of the most distinguished sons of the city, Miguel de Cervantes. During the journey from Puerta de Atocha station to Alcalá de Henares there will be performances of some of the most famous passages from Miguel de Cervantes' most important work, 'Don Quixote'.  Throughout the trip, performers dressed in costumes from the era will greet the passengers and act out scenes from Cervantes' texts until reaching Alcalá de Henares.

Once the train arrives in Alcalá de Henares, visitors will be able to go on a tour around the old town. The tour will begin by visiting the important historic attractions of Complutum, as the city was known by the Romans, and will end at lunchtime. Visitors will have the whole afternoon to wander around the city and visit its most iconic sights.
